Curator's Advice:
They say is necessary to carry
painting further. A lot of contemporary artists infact seem to reject also
the only idea of painting. However this is one of the many examples which
demonstrate that it is a precious art form.
Here the artist shows a style that
recalls the modern painting between nineteenth and twentieth century,
particularly the cubism and some aspects of expressionism.
The cromatic value is inspired
to the work of Egon Schiele, while the stroke is near to ones of Braque,
Macke, Feininger. The semantic language is consistent with the style even
if it is widely updated.
It is interesting to notice the
atmosphere of suspension and stillness that surrounds the young couple. It
is obtained thanks to intimate poses and strong contrasts. The correct
and thorough use of expressive form is fundamental for the author. I think
it is a noteworthy.
The base of real art is the hard
work; but it is not all. If we make a research between works of the artist
we reveal his attention for existential themes. These themes are the
same of ones of the great artists he loves; but with the year two thousand
young man's matters. Tank God nothing is new under the sun. It only changes
the way of life and in this case, the way of art.
The painting reveals the sweetness
of the affective mycrocosm of young couple. The sensual love is as a cohesive
value and daily shelter. |
