To Galileo Galilei
Mario and Michelangelo Eremita with Rinalda Truffi

"To Galileo Galilei", Restaurant Pizzeria Da Pino, Padova Riviera dei Ponti Romani.
Mr. Giuseppe Giordano is smart and ingenious business owner from Salerno who teached to the people of Veneto a new way to be a restaurateur and to make pizza. He is also one of the most enthusiastic patrons of the artists of CAOS from 1990, www.caos-gallery.com.
Mr. Giordano loves the art by Mario Eremita particularly, so he asked him an artwork for the restaurant in Padova.

Permanent art installations, mural paintings and bas reliefs, made in-situ on wide surfaces; into the Restaurant Pizzeria "Da Pino" in Riviera dei Ponti Romani, 20 Padova, Italy. Artwork planned by the artist Mario Eremita and made by Mario and Michelangelo Eremita between october and november 2017.

The artwork is made by bas relief sculptures and mural paintings. The theme is a tribute to the scientific research concerning the firmament by Galileo Galilei. Here we can see the mythological allegories of sun and planets along the wide wall double high that delimits the restaurant.
The technique by Mario and Michelangelo Eremita is unmistakable. They face figurative subject naturally, with refined strokes and very fresh color's glazings that finally give to our eyes the opportunity to appreciate the plasticity of shapes and the strength of contents. We see the fluency of hands and bodies and the lightness of clothes and whirling drapes.
The contrast of the white bas reliefs is of rare elegance. Those effect has a supernatural taste maybe dreamlike. The reality of children in bas relief is in competition with myth.
The seven chandeliers are of great interest. They were planned and painted by the artist Mario Eremita. They are a spot-on balance between the firmness of structure and lightness of paintings.
Mario Eremita is not new to this kind of installations into the Pino's restaurants. Other two artwork are in Treviso, one in Viale della Repubblica and one in Piazza dei Signori; while in 2015 he made a wide artwork all bas relief in the restaurant in Piazza Candiani in Mestre ( Venezia ).
